How do you sell to arrogant people?

if you have a customer that thinks he knows everything. how do you sell something trying not to offend?

play to their arrogance. flatter them kinda. make them feel like you "acknowledge that they are better than you". that's how arrogant people work. they want you to know they are better than you (in a way)

if you are trying to sell to someone who thinks they are "better than you", exploit that weakness and use it as a doorway to a sale.
just smile and be polite and and still answer their questions w/o being rude, they will either buy or they want.
complement them on their knowledge of the product or their preparedness for the sales pitch.
Just stroke his ego by giving compliments and/or telling him how right he is.

With arrogant customers, it's best not to disagree with them on anything, no matter how minor, and no matter how obviously wrong they are. If they're saying something that's totally wrong, do your best to change the topic rather than tell them what's correct.
Good...let them do the talking then. Listen attentively with a grin. Flatter them with their knowledge. Finally, tell them the goods their buying suits them well which they should buy it.
