What do muslims want in hotel rooms?(Marketing point of view)? |
We are proposing a muslim/islamic hotel in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). It's good that some of the muslim friends can help us for expressing your point of view as a muslim requirement on a hotel room, especially on the Middle East region. We're looking for the marketing point of view rather than personal requirement. Prayer schedule for that area, maps highlighting nearby mosques. A clock that tells us about prayer times. A copy of arabic quran with english translation. A television with halal entertainment channels. Halal food menu. Reception staff should greet with muslim greetings which in english means (Peace to you). If public relation staff is female, then they should dress modestly, No alcohol, strip dancing or any forbidden thing. if they r in a city or place where there is no nearby mosque or even if there is they most importantly need the prayer timings and the direction towards mecca. becoz they face towards mecca( The Ka'aba) while praying. Let's see - a copy of the Koran, a prayer rug, something indicating the directions N, S, E, W so they can face Mecca when they pray. yea, follow the gud answers of our community. Jeddah is the nearest city to Makkah to which millions of haj pilgrims proceed during the Haj season and thousands come to perform 'Umra" on other times round the year. Those who seek accommodation in Jeddah hotels need:- 1. comfortable stay in a well -furnished room with permitted modern amenities. 2. Good cuisine. 3. Facilities to contact business people for mutual gains. 4.A modest library deling with books a business man wants to look at. 5. Telephone, telex, fax and e mail facilities.
