Virgin Media RIPPOFF?



Am I the only one who is peeved at virgin broadband , not Fair to loyal customers who are denied the one year 拢10.50 broadband contract. New customers only .New customers only Ive heard this one somewhere before. ALL virgin broadband customers should be allowed this one year reduction what do you think?

Call them and ask to speak to the cancellation department. Say to them you looking to move to SKY as there offers are better. Then hint by saying unless you can offer me a better deal to stay?!?!?

I guarantee they will.

I currently get all movies and sports free including sententa and rangers and celtic tv...for some reason, and my broadband half price.

big time rip off, not only this but they advertise 20mb broadband and promise for fair price only to make it unavailable in south west. with your problem ring them back and ask for the discount again if they refuse terminate your account if over one year and re-join as a new customer. tell them on the phone this is your intention and they give the reduction. it worked for me....
When I got NTL broadband on a three month trial, I fully intended to leave at the 3 month point, and get it from someone else. I had a lot of bad experiences with their digital TV service, and was using them just to see what was available on the internet. I couldn't fault their broadband service, I am still with them years later. Their website and email service has had faults, but the internet service has been totally reliable, so I have stayed with them.

This is what they are gambling with to new customers, they are hoping they will love it, and stick with it after a year, at the full price.

If I wasn't happy with the price I am now paying to Virgin Media, I would cancel the service. I know what it is like, I can believe it is the best service because it doesn't rely on a phone line.

I am not jealous of someone else getting a better deal than me, I have been benefiting from the service for years, and it was my choice to stay and pay after the 3 months. They have to their credit increased my speed twice without increasing the price.

If you think you are being overcharged, cancel the service, the more customers they get, the more they can keep prices down. But I still couldn't recommend them, due to broadband 30p a minute phone customer service, although I have been told they refund that if there is a genuine fault with the service.

Edit, people accepting the offer have to pay 拢25 to install it, I got mine free of charge. It is also open to Virgin media customers who haven't tried broadband.

Comparing the deal I got when I joined, this deal to new customers is just 拢17 cheaper in the year, than my first year deal, but in my first 3 months I had no oblication to stay for a year, a big advantage.
Hi I have had nothing but trouble since virgin took over. We week they took over from NTL they cut off my TV, Phone and Broadband and said I had not paid for 2 years.

I told them I had paid and could send them bank statements to prove it. But they said they will not switch them back on until they have checked into it. As my work involves being online I have to get my services back on ASAP so I ended up paying 拢420 to have them switched back on. After proving it they took 3 weeks to give me my money back.

Then last week they cut me off again when I phoned they said i had not paid for 4 months. Well that was it i went stupid started swearing and shouting and told them to put me through to cancellations.

When I finally spoke to cancellations they said sorry and gave me TV, Phone and Broadband free for 12 months. Who says loosing your temper doesnt get you anywhere
Hi, they are a total rip off! Jus get rid of em! All we have had with them are a load of crap. Just because they have a big brand name doesn't mean that they are all good after all!
