Business Degree? |
I am wondering to be a pharmeceutical representative you have to have a business degree could someone please tell me what all classes you would have to take to get one? From years of observation by university teachers (and I am one), most "A" students become teachers, B students (and graduate study students) get jobs in the field of study, and C students becomes sales reps. A pharmacy student who made Cs would be dangerous in a pharmacy, but would have a headstart as a pharmacy sales rep. Medical school dropouts also would be qualified to be pharmaceutical reps. Most companies will accept A students from any field, because an A average (3.5 or above GPA), shows the person has "learned how to learn". All new employees go into some type of training, and A students can be expected to learn pretty much everything presented in orientation and on the job training, and C students much less. So, generally speaking companies will accept an A student and B students to fill any position, but shun C students unless special circumstances exist. It would be better to get a degree in pharmacy and minor in business. You will need the technical background. |
