Looking for a name for my company? |
Hi, I am planning to start a company which will be dealing in Software Development, IT recruitment and Service Industry. Initially, it will be operational in US and hopefully, I will open an office in India by the end of the year. Most of my back end work will be done in India office and later I will also try to grab some outsourcing business. I am looking for a mythological name for my company. ( a name from Vedas or Greek mythology or from any other culture). Any help about this will be really appreciated. -- regards, garkat Here's a different approach. Invite over about ten of your best friends for a wine tasting party at your house early in the evening and make sure you have a designated driver or two. After everyone has had a glass or two, and start to giggle tell them you are looking for a name for your Software Development, IT recruitment business and you're looking for a mythological theme. You'd be surprised at how creative they become. The more they giggle the more chance there is of something very good coming out of it. Get several names you like because the challenge will be to find a name that is also available as a web site name. The moment you settle on something, do a search at http://www.godaddy.com to see if the name is available. If you are very lucky and it is, available, buy it immediately. The price is usually less than $10 for a registration and you鈥檒l own it for at least a year. Good Luck How about HARD-SOFTWARE INC. How about Condom? Apollo IT Check for followign things first: Domain availability, Copyright and Trademark availability. You may like some names but they may have been taken. Peak a name which is easiet to pronounce here in US. Most of indian mythological names are hard to speak here (Yudhisthir, Dhritrasta, ShreeKrishna, etc). it is hard to answer this question here as it will depend on your taste and type of software development, service you are planning to offer. I suggest you look careful for a name that is not only search friendly but look at names that gets lots of searches. You can do this by using a keyword tool. For instance, I just launched a site about a year ago and today, the domain name is worth a couple hundred thousand dollars! overture.com will give you the most popular search. Best Buy gets about 1.8 Million searches a month. |
