I need a salesperson for my business, can anyone help? ask around i'm doing the same. when you find somebody interesting provide them with all the info they need;pricing and stuff and the going standard rate is 10 percent of the gross on a sale. i'm looking for some freelance people so there is no employment issues. good luck! i think you might find some of these people in the real estate business. check it out. What's your business? Advertise for one on a site such as www.jobserve.co.uk or Monster etc. Look for someone with a proven track record in selling the product you manufacture/retail. Ask what their sales target was, where they sourced their clients, what their profit margin was etc. Take references and get clarification on their target vs actual. Yes, what type of business is it that you have? It is hard to answer the question without that information. I do sales as I am a Realtor but if I were looking for a job I would like to know whether it is salaried or commissioned, how long have you been in business and the product. Put the ad on the internet and you will get plenty of responses. You want someone who is an experienced salesperson and has production figures and their profits. Good people skills and professional look and speech. Realtor 4 yrs., Teacher 7 years, and business professional 20+ years. have you sold the product or service yourself? It's a good idea to spend some time in the trenches selling your product if you haven't done that already. The experience will give you insight into the type persons who might succeed, and will help you understand the competitive issues. That's why, many years ago Bill Walton would go into one of his stores and wait on customers for a day or two. You remember Bill Walton? You know.. Wal-Mart? |
