Where have I gone wrong with my website? |
I own puppiesgame.com, which has a very creative concept. Visitors click on virtual houses to find lost puppies and whoever finds them first wins a cash prize. The idea was to get advertisers to rent those virtual houses. It didn't work. So then I guaranteed 200 clicks for US$10. Still didn't work. What am I missing here? Do I need to spend serious money on advertising to get it going or is my concept all wrong? Any constructive criticism would help... It needs more viral marketing power so people will spread the word about your page. Use a cuter-looking dog. Put a page together with a huge number of cute puppy pictures. Make sure you have a viral marketing pop or box that says "Send this to a friend." You problem has nothing to do with monetizing. It has to do with traffic. You have to be more clear about your prize so that people think they're REALLY going to win something. I suggest signing up with value-click and putting their ads on every page so you will at least get paid something for your traffic. Goodluck! You need to sign up to adsense here http://topadsensetips.blogspot.com/... and put some ads on your page and then submit your site to the search engines which is free Hi, I've been to your site. The first and second answers were right. Adsense could bring you extra profit and you badly have to have targeted traffic. Who are your target audience? Having that in mind, market your site. It doesn't have to cost you any money. Article Marketing, Directory Submission, Bookmarking, and Link Trade are some of the free ways to do so. Add more Quality content to your site. Consult with someone to make your site customer and SEO friendly. Best of luck, Aweng Moral-Basco IRA Support http://www.joinira.blogspot.com/... The average viewer spends less than 10 seconds to decide whether to stay on your site or not when they see it for the first time. It's not very clear at first glance what your site is about. I like the concept, but I don't think the layout and design is exactly working here. I don't know how much your prize is or if it would be even worth my time clicking every single house. You middle photo that says "find me" should include some dollar amount "for $10 prize" or whatever that may be. The $0.05 cost per click is actually a high price and a hard amount to sell. If you go to a site like AdEngage, you can pay $10 and get about 1000 clicks to your site, and pay 0.01 per click. You even might want to consider using Adengage as one of your sponsors instead of auctionads, at least here you will find webmasters who are willing to pay a decent amount of money if you can produce a large amount of clicks for there site. http://www.excelyourbiz.com |
