PC World TV Advert. MISLEADING? |
OK, who here hasn't seen the PC World ad? Well correct me if i'm wrong, but dont they say in the advert "Internet prices to take home today".... If you go on their website you have 2 different prices a WEB (internet) price and a In-store price. so why should i pay the higher instore price when they say i can take the product today at the web price. Obviously you cant take it home today if you buy it on the web....Your view please. Complain to the Advertising Standards Authority at http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/ . It's free and they investigate it really well and fairly quickly. I think it's misleading because they show ppl on the adverts browsing in store and then they get talked into buying the products in store, which obviously would mean not paying 'internet prices'. Also some stuff on the website you can't collect in store or they might not have in stock at ur nearest store, so you can't 'take it home today'! I've never noticed. What you do, is buy it online but instead of delivery, you collect it instore. In which case they are being very precise. 1. Buy off the internet (Get internet prices) 2. Collect instore ( Take home today) Because you can order it online and pay the online price, and pick it up in store...i think The television watchdog would be the person to complain to about any misleading advert on telly. But are they specifically mentioning in store only? I have not taken that much notice of the advert really. PC World sucks and they're trying to catch people out. |
