How long does it take to learn the pitch for cold calling in a brokerage firm? |
I just started working as a stockbroker and they gave me a pitch to master, they say i have to get it done but they never tell me by when. any ideas? Now why would you want to become one of those people, honestly? Everyone learns things like that differently, but the way to get it down is to practice, practice, practice. Just pick up the phone and do it (remember, you can always hang up so don't get embarrassed or flustered). The more you do it on actual calls, the faster you'll get it, so, I don't know, two weeks of solid calling...? Sounds about right. The fastest you memorize this pitch, the better. You want to make it sound natural. Honestly, you can get this done in a day. First, read the whole thing through very slowly, following each word with your finger. Second, read the first paragraph again then recite it back to your self. If you make a mistake, start over. Finally, keep adding more paragraphs until you don't get anything wrong.
