What are the different divisions of advertising? |
ie: Marketing And what do you do in those divisions? Broadly there are two segments. 1) Marketing research: that tries to find out what people want to buy and what they are willing to pay for it. 2) Marketing communications: that includes advertising and sales in an attempt to tell prospective customers that the company has the goods or services they seek at prices they can afford. Hi. I am not sure if I understood the question correctly as usually advertising is one of the divisions of marketing. Looking at it from the bottom up we can see that advertising is usually used to promote 1st - The Company Advertising the company usually takes the form of PR and Publicity When you do PR and Publicity for the company you usually want the public to have a positive perception of your company. You talk to writers, analysts and a lot of medial people. You also design programs like corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. 2nd - Products Advertising the company's products usually takes the form of marketing. You analyze external and internal environment by looking at the 4P's (product, place, price and promotion) Advertising is usually considered to be part of promotion. I hope I have helped you with this answer. Have a good day. Promoting |
