What "Marketing strategy (USP)" mean? thank you? |
What "Marketing strategy (USP)" mean? thank you? USP stands for "unique selling proposition"...I've also seen it referred to as "unique selling point" but "proposition" is the formal term used in textbooks. It refers to a strategy of building your advertising (promotion) campaign around a unique feature or benefit of your product...a feature or benefit that competitive products don't share. This strategy is also called a "reason's why" appeal because it focuses on giving customers one clear reason why a particular product is superior to others! A classic example of a USP campaign is "M&Ms melt in your mouth not in your hands". M&Ms candies certainly have other features the company could sell (yummy for one :) ), but they built the entire campaign for this product around the "don't melt in your hands" feature! Source(s): Ph.D. in marketing my site teachs you all about it http://alexonlinemoney.com/index.php... It stands for Unique Selling Point. Its the reason why a customer should buy your product or service over a competitors. For example, you are the cheapest, you have the best service etc. By having a clear USP you can focus your marketing on communicating this USP to your stake holders http://www.searchconcepts.co.uk... it means 'unique selling proposition' ... marketing a product based on one advantage that it has over its competitors |
