What is the best way to get leads for my mortgage company? I do home loans and commercial loans. (www.worldclassfinancialgroup.... Many people say that buying leads from the internet is a scam. Can anyone help me please?? As the owner of a marketing company, I typically shy away from working with mortgage companies because it is the most difficult client to get leads for. :) But I would be happy to give you a few ideas: 1. Work with realtors. Ask them to hand out your business cards. Offer a special service or discount offer to their clients. Or, offer the realtor a "commission" for their direct referrals. 2. Offer a free seminar on mortgages. Many people don't understand them. Check with your local library or other public facilities that might have meeting rooms available (free of charge). Advertise on their premises, and on events calendars in local newspapers, etc. Do not make it into an advertising spiel...but offer knowledge and advice/question and answer session. Be available for questions after the seminar and offer your card to all attendees. Be personable. Being eager or "salesman-ish" can hurt your chances of working with prospects. 3. Get your name out there. Offer to write a local column in the newspaper (or hire a ghostwriter). Make sure the last paragraph details who you are, your company and contact info. 4. Contact local companies and offer to do a "all about mortgages" presentation for their staff. One of the "perks" companies are offering right now is the "knowledge" market...free seminars to their employees. There are a few ideas...good luck!! |
