What is the expected percentage?? |
what is the expected percentage of replies to an advert distributed as leaflets of a new web design business with real competitve prices aimed at individuals and small businesses ? and what is the percentage of positive replies (deals) from the total numer of replies..? Initially look for a .25% response, and of the respondents about 2% will actually order. So if you've dstributed 500,000 leaflets, you may get 1250 responses which will convert to 25 orders. Of course it all depends on the offer, where the leaflest are distributed and if the offer (call to action) is stated clearly. But the above, grim statistics are going to be pretty accurate over time. Use them as a benchmark to evaluate your performance Well, it would depend on what sort of people you leafleted and how well designed the leaflet was. If it is to small businesses and you are quiet, I would start doing follow-up calls to see if that had a chance to read it and if they had any questions. depends where the leaflets are distributed, who they're aimed at etc.. ...but probably less than 1% Assuming 'door to door' (non-targetted) distribution, I would estimate a maximium** of 0.5% responses (of which you might get up to a half leading to sales) ** these days most householders just put all unaddressed mail straight into the recycle bin .. even 'local business' people find it tough (one Gardner / 'odd job' man where I live posted out 500 leaflets and got ZERO returns ..) I would agree with these expectations, just on its own don't expect to have a huge response. You really need to focus on what would make someone consider your service and really address those, a a generic "we do website for very little cost" won't get loads responses (it may have 5 years ago) cos all and their dog can offer this nowadays Im afraid. |
