Who is the gate keeper in a meeting? |
We'll have a conference call tomorrow, my co-worker will be the gate keeper. What does he suppose to do? Hi There, Very much like the physical meeting, the gate keeper is the meeting "Chairperson". He is supposed to ensure that the meeting will be conducted orderly and a conclusion is met on the agenda when possible. Depending on the software for the telecon, the gatekeeper can allow one or two person to be heard at the same time and allows others to speak on the subject at hand. In some instances, the gatekeeper may need to remind the people that attends the meeting to keep/ adhere to the time limit. A note of advise, remember to record the con call as some members may not be heard clearly and details of the concall may need a transcript e-mailed after the meeting. A summary sent out of all action required item may be necessary to verify what has been agreed on. Good luck |
