How do you find out about yard sales? |
I'm having a yard sale next weekend and I'm debating whether the cost for a newspaper ad ($25-$30) is worthwhile. I'll definitely be posting signs throughout the community on bulletin boards and we'll have a big sign at the top of our street the days of the yard sale. My whole family only looks for signs on Saturday morning. We follow the signs to the sale. If there is no sign in front of the house, we sometimes pass it up. I know some people look in the paper but we never take the time to do that. to place an add is $25 where i live. it does help to bring in more people. but just putting signs up should be enough. little signs on telephone polls near a busy intersection. the easiest way is to just post signs throughout the surrounding area...like put signs in places that people will definetly see...like near a gas station or on a street light... I would just put sings up. That should be good Most people I know look in the newspaper and plan out where they will go. It may be a good investment depending on how much you have to sell. Otherwise, you'll probably just catch people passing by going to other yard sales. Well it's worth the pay as long as it doesn't rain the days you are having the yard sale and you will get more people to come with putting a ad in paper. Signs are good too but its always good to know when someone is having a yard sale ahead of time. Id put somethings you are selling in the paper too, it would interest the readers to come also by doing that! Good luck! |
