Has anyone heard to a scam where hey ask u if u use a visa and then state that u are entered in a contest? |
they say that the prizes r 25000 and a bmw First clue that it is a scam is asking if you use a Visa. If it was FROM Visa, they's know it. Next clue was in telling you that you were in a contest that you didn't enter. The combination SCREAMS scam. Maybe it's not a scam. You need to do more research. Try giving a fake visa id. if Genuine they will not inform you the falsification and if fraud, they will run the scanners. The cvc number is also asked then you can hope for non-frauds, as usually legitimate business dealers who care about their customer's security, also care to ask for the cvc number. If they ask for it, give a fake one. If they fraud, then they will not revert. The cvc is not checked by non-bank personels. If you give the true cvc, and then they revert back with the false credit card number, then hope them to be fraud. As usually such people try the CC number more than once, but without telling it was wrong. If the CC number is correct and the CVC wrong and they have found out, then you have a 50-50 case and need to act smart. What you then need to do is to tell them that the card you have is not visa and u by mistake provided them with your mastercard. Fraud will still accept it. Ok, even if they dont, you then give another CC number, this time reversing the numbers back to front. I love this part. If it's a person ready to spend the time, will notice the reverse order, and will tell you that your numbers look fishy. Then you need to tell him immediately that this is becoz it's an American Express. They usually have facility for platinum card holders for reversing the digits in case of faulty CC number inputs and for reprocessing of the transaction. You need to be smart. I heard the one you're talking about. It's a scam. |
