I send out over 500 emails every monday but have to spread it out over day how can i do it in one hit? I suspect you are sending the same mail to each of 500 addressees, in which case make a 'group' of the recipients and just send mail to the group. Apart from setting up the group which you should be able to do in less than an hour, sending mail to 500 addressees will take only the same time as sending one mail have you ever heard of mail merge?? Been there--- done that!! Search for a program called Post Cast - it is a free mail server that sends directly to recipients mail servers and avoids your own (stops them from freezing your email account and accusing you of spamming). You will need to adjust your email programs settings to send to localhost rather than your ISPs smtp server. With this setup you can send about 3000 emails an hour. An alternative (assuming you send to the same people every time) is to sign up with a list manager service like Aweber, import the names into a mailing list and send your messages through their service. That's about $20 a month. This can also be done as if by an autoresponder so messages can be sent at a specific time, but I don't think that's what you want. I reckon the Post Cast server may be your easiest route. I can offer more technical help if required. I also use Pimex as a (local PC) mail manager but that is not free for larger quantities - I can't remember what the free limit is. so it's you thats sending 500 emails every monday STOP the spam |
