How can I sell more gym memberships? Carefully define who you want to reach. If you said everyone, you need to re-think. What segment of the marketplace will make you the most money. More importantly, what is the lifetime value of that customer. Once you have a clear answer, determine who among your current customers is in this group. And which of them are the most influential in the community. These people are called mavens, and they influence large groups of people at all economic levels. Offer them a nice gymsuit, sweatshirt or t-shirt with your gym listed on it. Send them greeting cards on a regular basis - birthdays, anniversaries, & every conceivable holiday.
