Best way to attract sponsors or advertisers for magazine? |
What is the best way to obtain advertisers for a magazine. I'm going to start a 'zine and would like to approach large companies like Airlines, Banks,.... I'm not sure how to approach them and who i should speak with. If anyone has any experience with these, advice would be appreciated. thanks Most major companies have their own advertising departments so start there. Start with the advertising dept. Make sure they have the same customers that would be reading your magazine. For example, if your magazine targets teenagers, I wouldn't go to a bank or airline for ad support, I would try music stores. Also distribute free samples of the magazine & offer discount rates. |
