Freaky Phone Call? |
I just got a call on my lan line, it was nothing but a computer voice who, after about 5 seconds said "My mistake, Sorry 'bout that" It was female and it sounded way too mechanical. Any ideas as to why I got this call, who may be sending them? The number I got when I did *69 was (866) 909-6116 It is a telemarketer company, trying to find the best time to call your house so you'll answer the phone. Sometimes when they call a person will hang up, or the line would be dead. Block the number if you can. also from what I understand that these companies steal your info. So be careful. Sounds like a prank...Why dont u just trace that call It's probably nothing to worry about. There are all sorts of computerized phone setups these days that call random numbers w/o you having any way to prevent it. Everyday I get calls from private and unknown numbers. I have no idea who it could be because I haven't given that number out to anyone that would do that sort of thing, and I never answer them so if it was an actual person I figure they would've given up by now. Best thing to do to avoid anything happening is to not answer unless you know who it is, but that might be hard if you can't tell who's calling. I also get calls from an 800 number pretty often that I never answer either. Really annoying. That does sound freaky...i dunno what to tell ya. |
