As many ideas as you can would be great!

Sporting goods store. Where you can buy HS gear like letterman jackets and jersery's... Restaurants/Fast Food places where HS like to eat/hang out.... Local businesses like hardware stores and gas stations... The owners may have/had children that went to your school.. Try just about anywhere... Call the business and ask them for monetary support in exchange for ad space in the yearbook... Local cable/dish company... Etc...Local newspaper-
"Sell" the PARENTS of the students to the advertisers... create a simple 1-page sell-sheet of how many parents/grandparents & teachers will see the ads/book, how long the students will keep them, etc (and how happy everyone will be to know THAT business supported the school). Get geographical & economical on their rear-ends.. overwhelm them with stats & numbers & colorful maps... you'll sell ad space more easily.

How do you think HP was just sold on losing $300 million for a new 'HP campaign' that's basically a promotion of GWEN Stefani? (they showed them pics, told HP how popular Gwen is with young girls/boys -- cough, cough -- and that she's in LA, always in the media, travels worldwide, etc. and the rubes BOUGHT it for $300 million).
Hey!!!! this is off topic but check my bebo!!!! anywayz u can make a mini book telling all about it and some sneek peek features. Maybe 2.00 depending on the book. and i can help you if needed. Put up posters which won't be "selling" but let people know and make it sound REALLY cool so that people will buy it!!!!! luv ya!!! see you soon!! like this weekend maybe? anywayz... bye!!!!!
Since I do this for a living, I would suggest that you go to companies that like their relationship in the community and with the school. Churches, Hospitals, large companies in the area, they have the budgets, and they like to look like good people supporting schools.

Then go to retail shops that aren't big chains, auto service, restaurants, florists, and bridal shops-then last go to chains directly in the area.

The first group would be the big ads, and you'll do well.

Just talk about how people keep and show the yearbooks to each other, and how much the school and students appreciate the help and support.
