the world perceives India as an outsourcing destination for tech support services, producers of clothing, low cost manufacturing destination. All of the above can be 'sold' based on their cost advantage. A better strategy would be to select certain groups of products that require knowledge+labor and to produce them from resource to end product. The longer is the production line (from resource to end product), the more advantageous would be its place in the world market. |
