What can i do to stop tele-marketers from calling my home.? Etta P. is right. Moreover, attempting to get our name off the list by contacting some of the bogus "do not call" operators may inadvertently be giving irrevocable permission for telemarketers to call you. The Federal Trade Commission is the ONLY official agency authorized to stop the calls. call your phone company there is a 800 number they can give you to call that will put you on a do not call list that is good for 5 years I believe. I use to have the 800 number because I used it but I can't locate it. register your phone number(s) on the national do not call list. You will need to register any and all cell phones as well just type in national do not call list in to your search browser ask the telemarketer to put you on the do-not-call list If you find out let me know! they start about 8:00 am and call to 9:00 pm it really sucks to try to sleep in on my day off and get woke up by a person who barely can speak english, trying to sell me light bulbs Below is the website for the Federal Trade Commission where you can find out how to get on the "do not call" list.
