Best way to advertise my new business with not much money? |
hi im struggling to get much work throuh advtising im currenty in yellow pages and yell .com co but not getting many calls im a plasterer and damp proofer Suggest you consider visiting some job sites and talking with the general contractors... Offer to make it worth their while if they refer some business your way. Ask them what kind of customer they would like to have referred to them. In other words, make them feel they'll get something out of a relationship with you. Also consider joining your local builder's association. It's a great place to get acquainted with other business pros in the industry. As for advertising, what are you currently doing to make your yellow pages ad stand out from the crowd. At the very least you should prepare and offer a free report in your ad for people who are interested in your services. It gives you a way to create local credibility as someone who knows what they are doing. Beyond that you should go out of your way to remember your past customers on every holiday, birthday, anniversary, etc. You can be sure they'll remember you when they run across someone in their circle of friends/family in need of your services. For example could you do something for charity like a sponsered activity? A website is a good idea too. WOM - word of mouth! Just ask your previous customers to recommend your services to their friends, neighbours, colleagues and whoever they know. Become a member in the local clubs, do some charity work and tell everybody about what you can do for them. Spread the word! Do you have family? Ask them to tell everyone they know about your new business venture. Everytime you talk to someone, make sure to mention about your business. Who knows, maybe they know someone who knows someone and this person might need your services. |
