What are the pros & cons to buying diff mediums (tv, radio, cable, FSI's, internet) for advertising?

each media specializes in segments that cater to different audience. for example, radio advertising can reach their target segment on the high-way while TV advertising can deliver picture and message to the people at their home.
Buying various media spots across various media types captures a bigger share of your target audience. It is good as the competition makes media to specialize and your ads will be more targeted.
The only drawback is that the more you buy the more you have to spend but that's part of the game. If well done, spending in advertising will bring you the big sales.
