Can you think of any ideas for "The Economist" advertisements? |
I'm in an advertising design class and I need to think up 10 new "Economist" ad ideas. such as: "I never read the Economist." - Management trainee, Aged 42 "You can so tell when someone like doesn't read The Economist" "To err is human. To er, um, ah is unacceptable." help meeeee :( !!! Are the ads you need to create to advertise The Economist, or an ad for inside the Economist? Think of WHO the audience of the economist is. Think of WHAT the economist does that no other magazine does. Now put a creative spin on it. Economist audience is described in the media kit of the magazine. Every magazine has a free media kit. Here is the Economists:http://ads.economist.com/the-economist/r... From this I learned that the average reader of the Economist is: "Being an Economist reader is not just about being successful - it's about stimulation. It takes your brain for a walk, a leap or a jump. The Economist's readers are affluent, well-educated and influential. They are also united by the way they think about things, their hunger for knowledge and their desire to be stretched and challenged. " OK, so what is unqiue about this magazine compared to ones you or I read? Well, the stimulation is really popping out to me... An idea might be around stimulation or the brain. If You're So Smart... (Image of Economist) You should be reading this. or Affluence on Acid. The Economist. or Stimulation Feels Good. The Economist. Justify your answers with the audience. Of course, you may want to add a call to action. These are real quick, admittedly need works... but idea is here I hope. Look at ads in magazines, they are crisp, clean, have lots of white space, Good luck... A few off the top ideas The Economist..Its the ultimate in Reality programing The Economist.. its about your wallet The Economist.. when you outgrow "Today's" comic books The Economist.. grown up news for grown up minds The Economist... when you need to know the truth.
