What is an example of false advertising that you've experienced?

I'm just curious. Many tv and radio ads just sound too good to be true.

Gatorade has a current advertising campaign that says that "no other energy drink replaces energy better than Gatorade. Not one." (Not verbatim.)
That is because they all replace energy the same. The deceiving element is making you think that product is the best, because no one does it better. That is not the case: that product is competitive with other top-tier products of it's kind.
This is an example of spin, which gives completely true information, but gives it in a way that is deceiving to the common person.
I notice ads like this all the time, giving a half-truth and playing it as a whole-truth. I can't think of any other examples right now, but they're out there.
Ciao. So che questa risposta non centra niente comunque:

W ITALIA W PIZZA W FERRARI W JUVENTUS W ROMA W SPAGHETTI W GLI ITALIANI W
Do you mean did we actually buy the products only to find out the claims were false?

I have bought some products from infomercials when the finally started to sell them in stores. None of them worked the way the infomercial claimed, or in some cases not at all.

I think I bought two hair removal products and a hair brush that spins. The hair removal products did not work at all and the brush was not as easy to use as the commercial claimed. I took it back and the hair removal products sat under my sink until I threw them away.
Personal Experience
When I was 18 years old, I changed my deodorant based on an advertisement promising me that women would be unable to resist me. I was disappointed to find that it did not work at all!
It seems many auto repair services will bait and switch. Promise a tune up or oil change and then "find something seriously wrong" with the car.

in some cases they inflict the damage themselves.
