Say you have a great canned spaghetti sauce, or perhaps a recipe for pudding. Assuming you can get someone local to package the product, how do you find the proper distribution channels? By contacting the stores directly??
Contacting local stores directly would be a good start. I was recently working with a company that has products made that they then sell to retailers and they started fairly successfully by contacting stores directly.
After you have some success at local stores you can approach regional and multiple location organizations for wider product acceptance, but I would suggest working on individual stores to begin with. |
