How do I calculate a marketing budget for a cafe startup? start small. look into the word of mouth marketing association... get involved in the local chamber of commerce they will come have ribbon cutting for you and all kinds of business ppl will come to your cafe. build hype by contacting the local paper and let them know about the cool new cafe that offers these specialties or this awesome atmosphere... as far as coupons and special offers don't have to many different promotions going on out there. How do you intend to get the word out? Small scale through local flyers, local free paper? or large scale with billboards and ads in magazines? Depending on which, research cost of production, cost of advertising, overhead and operating cost, vs retail cost and figure out what the return on investment is from there. Develop a game plan as to what your core buisnes will be. Once you have figured out what your target demographic will be figure out where those people hang out. Develop a nice flyer( printing cost's) Dispurce those flyers at target demograpics hang out. Send an artical to local buisness paper, local happenings paper. Find owners of the places you put flyers in and invite them for a free sandwitch or salad word of mouth will help. Check for radio and newspaper add costs. |
