How can I earn the respect of my co-workers that are twice my age?

I'm going to be 18 next month. I have always been a couple steps ahead of people my age. I have graduated college and have EARNED this job. The people I work with know that I'm qualifed for this position, but they still havent ajusted to taking orders from someone that is younger than their kids. I need some advise... I've worked so hard to get here...

First, you will learn as you age that no matter how mature and intelligent you are, it's not good to project that image of being the supermature person. Just be natural and respectful of others at your job, and some might be annoyed at times, but they will mostly remember how you are that mature and intelligent person who earned their way and also treated them with the dignity they expect to feel with their older ages.
Make them to understand you are also one among them. Appreciate their achievements wholeheartedly. Do not think that you are few steps above them , both working with different responsibilities. Do not be a boss, try to be a friend.
Good luck.
