How long can you be charged for damages after you move out of an apartment?

I moved out of my apartment at the beginning of June and received the move-out inspection/damages list and was charged for some damages and they took it out of my security deposit. My question is, since they have already done the move out inspection, if they find more damages at a later date, could I be charged for these damages? For example, let's say the new tenants move in and they find something wrong with the blinds or something, could I be charged for this? Or would I not since the landlords had already done the move-out inspection? I live in Virginia if this helps. Thanks!

Nope - your done.
The legal standard in most places is reasonable. Should the inspection have 'reasonably' been expected to find the issue then you're okay. Some hidden issues are still your responsibility. Since the new tenants had access what's to say they didn't damage them?
