What is the most professional way to go about telling your boss that you have decided to resign? |
It has only been 1 month but I am certain it's not a good "fit" and I do not enjoy the job. I will put in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow and would like to know how to tell my boss, who has no idea. ITs pretty much as simple as you just described. Best way is at the end of the workday before your boss leaves for the day, as to speak with him/her. (that way it'll give your boss time to think about what just happened) . Then simply tell them you have found another position and thank them for the opportunity they gave youto work there.. You don't need to go into the whole not a best fit.. It works best if they think someone offered ou a better job then to say your leaving because your its not a good fit.. Best of luck. tell your boss "IM FrUCKIN TIRED OF THIS CRUDDY JOB I QUIT I HOPE YOU DIE AND BURN IN HELL" as professional as it gets " I hate this place, I can't even breath in here you are all so stupid, you can sit and spin the lot of you!!" Then scream a lot knock everything off your bosses desk, grab the watter cooler bottle and pour it over nancy in accountings head, then light your computer moniter on fire and (continuing your insane screaming) throw it out the window and climb out. Get in your car back up into the bosses crank some 80's hair metal and speed off giving everyone the finger, making sure to run over the fllower garden in front of the entrance. I dream about this eveyday. sigh |
