Is this a good excuse to get off of work tomorrow? Do you have some better ones? |
Ok well I need to get off work tomorrow. I'm under 18 and work at KFC. My boss gave me Friday through Monday off already for a Soccer Tournament I have to go to, something that wasn't easy for her to do. But I really need tomorrow off. So is this a good excuse: I'd say that I'm running a fever and I'm vomiting at random times, probably from something I ate. Due to this, I cannot go. Is this good? And when should I call in? I don't want to call too early, but I definately do not want to call too late either. I have to go in at 4, and need to get off. Is 11 too early to call, or is 2 PM better? I don't really want to call during the busy lunch hours, but if I have to, I will. The reason I'm not asking her to get off is because she had a tough time getting that time off for me, and I really need this day off for the tournament. That's why I want to fake sick. your employer was probably not born yesterday, and will be keen to the fact that you just want an extra long weekend. So any ol' excuse will do. Diarhea always works Just tell her the truth. Say sorry I have my soccer tournament and do not want to let my team down; I am sure she will understand. What would happen if you lied and she saw you at your soccer tournament? That would suck! I would make up an excuse related to the reason you already had the day off, like if you were in the tournament your hurt yourself, or if it was out of town then car trouble, if you were a spectator then maybe something you ate while at the event made you sick, throw in a couple small details to make it more beliveable, but be brief I would say that you have a migraine headache. I have had these many times and they are debilitating. You can't open your eyes without extreme pain, they can make you vomit, and any noise hurts. Make yourself sound like your crying while your on the phone because if you had one you probably would be. Call in at about 2:30 to 3:00. Say you have had it for a few hours and thought it would go away with meds but there not working because most of the time they don't help unless its a prescription. Hope this helps! you realize she might fire you! grow up. when your older your gonna miss a lot of things in life due to work. be happy she gave you the days off she did. but if u must call in. call no less then 2 hours before your shift..be prepared to be fired also. fired for the same stuff when i was a teen. learned my lesson |
