How do stores send coupons back to the manufacturers? |
i've never understand what do stores do with all the coupons that we use. how do they send them back or how they get money back, is it complicated or they just throw them away ? Each coupon have a "bar" special code when it's going try the register, by the end of the day, or week, or month, store gets a report, which total the amount of each product, this is connected to inventory, and when it's time to pay for this inventory, total of credits from coupons, get deducted from the invoice for this inventory. I hope it's helps, so store don't wait for the money, they just deduct this from there bill. through the mail Most stores go through a clearing house that takes all the coupons, sorts them, sends then back to the manufacurer and gets a check in return. They then take a percentage of theis check and return the rest to the store that redeemed the coupon in the first place. They put them under a pillow in the back and wait for the coupon fairy to come get them. http://money.howstuffworks.com/question4... |
