Anyway I can stop being harassed by telemarketers at work?

After I told a telemarketer to stop calling me at work, they did it twice so far. Yesterday was the most recent event. Also, they called on a day I did not work and a coworker said that they told him they would not stop trying to call me! What can I do to get this to stop? I am thinking I may have to hire a attourney. I really don't want to lose my job over this! (I really like my job and company)

First off you have to ask to speak to their manager. Always get their name and use it when addressing them. Explain to them that you would like to be taken off their call list. Its your right. By law they have to, so you could mention that. If all else fails I would go with the,"OMG they just died, could you please respect me and take them off your list." If it keeps going on use the dead thing again and tell them you cant believe they are doing this, "my friend has been gone for a month now, and all you are doing is making me miss them every time you call. I cant believe you still have them on your list is there anything you can do to stop this." I worked for me. They are so annoying. Good luck
Don't answer the phone.
1. Don't answer the phone.
2. Ask them to remove your number from their lists.
3. Tell them to stop calling.
4. Say you'll hire an attorney and file a lawsuit.
5. Tell them you're changing your number.

Number 2 and 5 worked best for me.
wow dude, try staying home!
This is actually not just your problem!
Your supervisors may want to handle this problem themselves as it is harassment of a business line. I would go to your boss immediately and let them know what is happening.
