What does "shipment accepted " mean? |
I purchased some items from abercrombie around 7/4/07 and i've been tracking it through ups on-line, the shipment reached my state but has remained at the same city for 2 or 3 days (which is about 12 hours away from where i live) and it says shipment accepted...does this mean that it has been delivered to the wrong address/city? the delivery status on-line still says shipped so im hoping it hasnt been delivered yet... This might just mean that there are at least two carriers being used other than just UPS and it just so happens that the transition took place in your state...and it's perfectly normal for your package to remain in an area for 2 or 3 days...may be the weather isn't favorable...IF YOUR PACKAGE DOESN'T ARRIVE AFTER THE ESTIMATED DATES GIVEN TO YOU THEN YOU SHOULD CONTACT THEM. Source(s): I frequently purchase things on-line Generally two things That the goods have been delivered and that they have been inspected and accepted as being of satisfactory quality. From what you say I myself would be concerned and would contact the supplier as soon as possible. The "Shipment Accepted" only indicates that USPS has taken possession of the package, not that it has been delivered. Cheers so wait for the package! You may get in touch with USPS for more details. It could also mean that the final delivery will be made from a company other than the original company. For example, It was shipped by fed-ex, but delivery will be by a common currier. Then "shipment accepted" might mean the final delivery company accepted the package and they will deliver it. This has happened to me in the past. What shipping company is it being delivered by? UPS, DHL, FedEx, the post office? Whenever I order something online and it says "shipment accepted", this means it has arrived at the warehouse of the shipping company. If it had been delivered, it would have said "delivered to". |
