Can anyone tell how can I enter my invoice to the computer?


Do I need special program or software can anyome help me to put my invoices into the computer please?

Here at work I scan invoices into the computer. Here's what I do in Microsoft Excel.

First I keep track of the general invoice data such as:
1. Company the invoice is from
2. Invoice date
3. Invoice due date
4. Shipping
5. Sales tax
6. Invoice amount

Then I keep track of the items on the invoice.
1. Quantity of items
2. Item description
3. Unit price of item
4. Total price of item

Finally, scan the invoice into your computer using a scanner and the accompanying scanner software. Save the name of the file as the invoice number.

This process is useful because if you go to order the same thing you can search your Excel Spreadsheet with CTRL+F and search either the company you ordered from or just the actual item.
The ATO has one that you can download for free.
If you just want to store a copy into a file then i sugest you get a printer, scanner, copier then scan them onto your computer and save them to a file of choice.
