What do I do with a Mature Municipal Bond?


Do I go to a bank to cash this? I haven't been able to find any information online about where to bring a mature municipal bond. I know they can be bought and sold, but that is before they reach maturity, yes?

You should contact the state, city or other local government, or their agencies that issued the Bond and ask them about redemption of your matured bond.
