Some one with a teenage daughter ran bill up by tex messages.Payments were being made, but when the phone was reported lost they automatically were sent to a collection agency.I was wondering if there was a good way to handle it with out going to a collection agency ,as it does not seem cingular used the correct protocol. And now they are owned by at&t.Well just looking for advice before making phone calls.
I would get the name of the Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board or the President of Cingular and write to any one of them and ask for his/her help. Also, it wouldn't hurt to send your concerns via "certified letter." A lot of this mess is ignored by underlings who "can not help" because they have been given only a small part of the puzzle in which to interact with the customers. Otherwise, you will stay in deep despair dealing with absolute idiots. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless. If the account was sent to a collection agency, it wasn't because the phone was reported lost/stolen. That does not affect collection treatment. If it was sent to a collection agency, it was because the payments being made weren't enough, or payment arrangements were made and then broken. personal knowledge
