What do I say in a Follow up letter after a thank you letter?

I assume you are talking about a job interview, for which you have already sent a thank you note and haven't heard from the company yet. To follow up, you could write:

Dear [Contact],

I interviewed for the analyst position last Monday, Oct. 14. Since I am very interested in the job, I wanted to check back with you. Has a hiring decision been made?

If you have any questions about my qualifications, please feel free to contact me at 555-555-5555.
