Real estate broker or agent? Typically in real estate you have to start out as an agent working at one of the companies (Century 21, ReMax, a smaller firm or one of many others) and do this about 5 years before you can become a broker. A broker can act as office manager for a specific company branch or can open their own firm. An agent has to split their commisssions with the broker and have the broker sign most forms but they get to sort of learn from the broker.
To become an agent you must take some classes and pass a few (very tough) tests. To be a broker you must be an agent for several years (maybe 5 varies state to state) and keep up your skills while an agent.
First you should learn to write,then decide what you want to be when you grow up.
