Is it possible to have 2 interviews in the same company? |
I've noticed recruiters will ask if you've had an interview with their client recently (within a year) before they present you. This makes me wonder, do companies keep record of who's had an interview with them before? If so, what do they do with it? Let's say a person had an interview for position A in a company in March. The person didn't get the job, and so applied for a different position in the same company in July in a different division. Is it possible for the person to get a call again for an interview? Or will they just use the notes from the March interview? What do they do with the notes from March? Of course it is. The reason the recruiter asks that is he won't get paid if you have interviewed with the company before. His job is to bring in new candidates to the company, not to recycle candidates that the company already knows. *****The person didn't get the job, and so applied for a different position in the same company in July in a different division. ---- It's possible, if you were high enough on the finalists list that you were #2 for the job you didn't get and they thought enough of you that they might consider you for another position Most companies keep you on file for 6 months if you've been interviewed or if a recruiter has forwarded your resumes. Recruiters don't want to look like they are always submitting the same people so if you've been presented to that company they might not want to present you again. On the other hand, they might just be able to talk to the HR contact and see where you stand without you needing to interview. if there was a note made it would be only for that department and will not effect you trying in anouther department yup. the reason for that is dat for each position you apply too their is a different interview and u'll obviously need different skills for each position... well most likely |
