Everyone in my office got gifts from the boss except me and another lady. It's not fair, what should I do? |
I am one of the hardest workers in our office. Two girls got certs for massages, two got Indians tickets and spending money, others got bonuses in their paychecks. I didn't get anything. What should I do? Should I ask the boss if there's a problem. or just forget it? I no longer feel like putting any effort into my work anymore, because I'm so upset. Ask what you can do to earn the same rewards the other employees received. Don't go in with an attitude. Just forget about it. Apply yourself at your job and get over it. There could be good reasons why these people got these incentives, maybe for being there for so long, or maybe they all preformed a task in a timely manner. While you are pouting they are all doing their job. Try being more like them... I don't know the situation, but this might help. I would approach it professionally, it may have been an oversight. Maybe it was another's responsibility and he/she doesn't even realize it. I would definately bring it up though. Dont say anything...DO buy yourself (or send yourself) some beautiful flowers and chocolates and leave them on your desk. Your boss will undoubtly see that you are special...and just act lie you dont care...DONT put effort into your work, screw it. He should have at least given an explanation. grow up, lifes not fair. if you dont like your life or job change it. i hate my job so im putting my resume out. problem is being worked on soon to be solved. I would reevaulate my performance and question whether I should be doing something differently. Maybe you spend too much time worrying about everyone else's actions -- or gossiping? (Not to be mean, but why do you know what everyone else got?) On a lighter side, if you truly feel you are going above and beyond and not appreciated for it, why stay there? People who are talented with a strong work ethic are not easy to come by -- you could find another job. Manager |
