Accounting job search, need experience??

i just graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting. while searching for jobs, i realized alot of the companies want people with 2+ yrs experience in the field. I dont have any experience. I'm becoming desperate and really need a job.

so should i just apply for lower-type jobs like Accounting clerk or something, or do you think i could still apply for those 2+ exper. jobs and maybe still get an interview?

Try a local accounting office and see if they need a receptionist or book keeper. This will give you the experience you need. And often times they will hire you as an accountant soon after. Source(s): Office assistant at cpa office.
If you apply, you should be prepared to justify why you would be a good candidate despite your lack of work experience. Think of your life experiences and how they may be applicable to the position.
