No work experience? what to put on CV / Resume?

I am 20 years old and have never had a job. The only work experience i have had was in school on work experience. I know it's terrible not to have had a job at my age but since i left school i have just bounced from different college courses and have always had enough money to keep me going.

Do you think my cv will just get binned when they see my only work experience was 2 weeks when i was in school?

Also, i am starting university in september, what sort of jobs do you think i should apply for? Bar work, etc

Firstly, you never list work experience on your cover letter. Secondly if you are writing a resume for a job write it in a functional format so therefore it highlights what skills you have and takes the focus off of the fact that youhave never been employed.

If you are going to be starting school contact your human resources dept at the school since many places post ads there and are aware that you are a student so therefore have more of a flexible schedule.

If you took some college courses, why dont you list relevant courses on your resume and special skills that you have. put any extra curriculars you were involved in and maybe some hobbies and interests of yours...
