Walgreen's pay? |
ok i'm trying to figure out some how does walgreens pay work. ok I for 37 hours this week ( my first week of work) and I trying to add up the hours on how much I get paid. do I count the hours of next too to see how much I get paid or what? It depends what your pay periods are and when they end. If your paycheck is for a full two weeks, then take the number of hours worked during that time period and multiply it by 7.77 and that is your gross pay (before taxes are taken out). Your net pay (take home pay) depends on your withholding. For me personally, I take the number of hours x the rate of pay per hour and then multiply that number by .82. That gets me pretty close to the right amount when I am trying to guess what amount my paycheck will be. When you get your paycheck, take your net pay and divide it by the gross amount and this will give you the percent of your gross pay that you get to keep (take home). For example, if your gross pay was $100 and your net pay was $75, your net is 75% of your gross. So, where I use .82, you would use .75 or whatever percentage you come up with. Good luck in your new job! divide the hours by the gross pay and that will tell you the hourly wage, if that's what your trying to ask. poob |
