I want to become a cosmetologist . . .any tips?!? |
How many years of college? And how much money does the average cosmetologist make? (And I don't mean like, sweeping up hair at Great Clips!) Any other tips? Thanks so much! 鈾isses, Nichole鈾? If I'm not mistaken, it is at least 2 years. Be sure and check a cosmetology academy to find out pertinents. Try contacting Blaine or a beauty school in your area. I'm sure they'd be able to tell you everything you need to know. After you go to school and learn everything, you still need to pass your state board to become licensed. Majoring in cosmetology at vocational school. Schooling takes about 18 months to 2 years depending on what you are specializing in. In theory the averagepay wage for a cosmotologist is 9.91/hr plus commission. Some places though you work strictly on commission and pay a booth rental (the fee you pay to work at a location and have your own chair) which can run the gamut. My stylist makes about 800 to 1200 a month and pays about 100 a month on booth rental which isn't too bad I guess.
