What was the starting pay at your first job? |
Where did you work and what did you do? How much did you get payed. Give as little or as much detail as you want. My first job was in 1981. I stood in front of a gift store solving Rubik's Cubes. They paid $6 / hr. I walked into the gift store one day and say a messed up cube on the counter. I solved it, and he offered me the job. They felt it would attract customers. It sure did!! As soon as people saw someone solve the cube, they all had to buy one to try it themselves. Stockboy, Walgreens drug store. 3.35/hour 9 Dollars an hour 3 years ago. I worked as labor at a bar. Go figure $9 is the starting pay. i'm a drafter. i draw site plans and things like that for the big engineers at my company. and in a couple days i'm supposed to get a $3 raise. :] It was 1970--I began working as a typist for the STATE of New York... it paid $3,000 a YEAR!!!!!!! I started 9 years ago earning $319.84 per month as a lab technician. Now it's $666.57 after 1 promotion...no wonder I'm building my own business...Whoo Hoo !! |
