Help in regards to a job where I submitted my resume!!! Asap!? |
I submitted my resume to a business just before fourth of july. They had a classified ad for the job. Two weeks later I never heard from them so I called. The lady said they would be calling at the end of the week for interviews and took my name and she never called! Should I call back again? And if so what should i say this time??? Yes, call back. Ask them if they have done interviews - and if not what the status of your candidacy is (that's common terminology in Staffing) Even if you aren't being considered any more, they should be able to TELL you something! If you end up leaving a message (or they can't tell you anything) then let them know you will call back in a few days. (You can just say "I spoke with someone last week and they said the interviews were still being scheduled. I am very interested in this position and feel that I would be a good fit (for some reason), Can you let me know what the status of my candidacy is?") Best of luck! Source(s): Years in Staffing. Yes, do call back. Be assertive. Don't wait for them to call. Ring up (if you have a name to ask for all the better) Tell them you would like to arrange an interview at their convenience for a position that you applied for. Don't get fobbed off by Secretary's or help desk people. If they turn round and say you were not shortlisted ask them why and can they put it in writing, this will be very useful when applying for the next job. |
