Job Question???...please answer? |
I have a problem... I do soo much for my job but when i ask for a favor they shut me off like I have done nothing to help them....see my kids are in Colorado for a month and my husband and I were suppose to leave on sunday...but we miss them so much...we decided to leave on satureday, all I had to do was ask off...and no one will take my shift...any ideas on what i should do? I hate to be the *** of this question. But I have managed many companies. If you asked for vacation starting on Sunday. And the company worked that out for you. Now you want to go on Saturday instead. Thats your problem not theirs. Find somebody to take your shift. The problem is they might not have anybody lined up to fill your spot. Its seriously your issue, not theirs. If I was your manager, as harsh as it sounds. I would say *I gave you off sunday through the rest of the month, I plan schedules a month in advance, if you would have said saturday I would have made your first day saturday. Why are you giving this to me 3 days before. Find somebody to cover you, if you dont you are here, if you dont show up, you are fired!* This is all on you. You should have started it on saturday instead of sunday. You have to find the solution or assume you will get fired. I would fire you, if you didnt show up. Even if you were employee of the year. Take the days you requested or find somebody to fill in. I suggest waiting till sunday if you cant find somebody. if you can't trade time with another coworker, look for another place to work. poob Call in sick, it sounds like you need a break anyway. I wouldn't complain, you don't want to make anyone angry. you can insist on going on saturday and come back a day earlier than planned and that way you are still committing to your allocated time off and legally you are not doing anything wrong. if your company has made you find your own cover for while youare away then all you have to do is prove that you have done this and that no one is volunteering - you do not have to do more than that. Go to your immediate Supervisor tell he or she the situation and he or she will make the best decision for you and the company. If the answer is no then you know it is in the best interest of the company that you stay until a more convient time. Earn extra, from home in your spare time...Make Easy Money giving Surveys online.
